RFL teachers’ forum

On 16-17 November 2023 in Russian Language Centre Lomonosov Moscow State University, the International Association of Teachers of Russian as a Foreign Language (MAPRI) cooperating with the charity organisation “Russian Humanitarian Mission” will hold the 6th Moscow International Cultural and Educational Forum RFL-2023 “The Role of the Russian Language and Culture: From Africa to Asia. Tasks and Prospects”. The forum will be held both online and offline, the online portion will last from 10 A.M. to 7 P.M. MSK(UTC+3). The forum will feature a Round Table meeting on the topic of teaching Russian to bilingual and foreign language speaking children. The host of the Round Table meeting is the Dr. of Pedagogical Sciences, professor, head of the chair of Language Pedagogy and Bilingualism of MPGU Khamrayeva E.A.

Is one person capable of saving an endangered language?

DSc prof. E.D.Suleimenova gave a lecture “Is one person capable of saving an endangered language?” in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University November, 30, 2018. The lecture is devoted to the works of the outstanding phoneticist Cecilia Odé. One of the most important lines of her research is description and preservation of endangered languages, such as the language of the Tundra Yukagirs.
